PDF: Black/White format preferred. Advertiser is responsible for ads in color. Color must be

Mechanical Specs: 100 lines screen; 200 resolution

Preferred placement: 20% of ad cost (non-commissionable)

Frequency discount: 10% on 3 or more insertions. 15% on 6 or more insertions.

Combo Buy: 10% discount for ad placement in BOTH the English-language Texas Catholic
and its companion newspaper, the Spanish-language El Católico de Texas.

Web Site Buy: 15% surcharge to place your ad on the Texas Catholic Web Site

Commissions: 15% to recognized advertising agencies (no "in-house” agencies).

Billing: Prepaid unless approved credit, then Net 25. One-time or first-time advertisers must
prepay. No out-of-state credit unless with a recognized advertising agency. Finance charge of
18 percent per year computed monthly for late payments. Fee of $20 for returned checks.

Pre-printed inserts: Advertisers may select up to 65,000 verified households in our data base for
inserts. Local rate — $60 per thousand for single sheet; higher rate for heavier inserts. National
rate — $85.00 per thousand single sheet (Frequency discounts available.)

Composition charges: 10% surcharge if Texas Catholic must create an ad.

Right to Reject: The publisher reserves the right to reject advertising for any reason.

How Discounts Figured: Discounts will be applied to the base rate in the following order:
1) frequency, 2) combo and 3) agency if applicable.
