In celebration of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas’ 125th anniversary, Dallas Bishop Kevin J. Farrell celebrated Mass on Oct. 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Corsicana. The multicultural celebration included an outdoor Mass, music, special presentations and speakers.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Corsicana has the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating parish in the Diocese of Dallas. Founded in 1871, Immaculate Conception was established by Bishop Claude Dubuis, Bishop of Galveston, 19 years prior the Diocese of Dallas being founded on July 15, 1890.
